iPhone Camera Repair
Blurry shots, a shaking lens or a black camera app? We diagnose and repair front and rear iPhone cameras at our Bishopbriggs shop.
Camera faults we see most
- Black screen in the camera app — often a failed module or a loose/damaged connector.
- Shaking or rattling lens — usually stabilisation damage after a drop.
- Blurry or soft photos — autofocus failure, or scratched and shattered lens glass.
- Cracked rear lens glass — the cover glass over the camera, which can be replaced on its own.
- Dust, spots or haze in every photo from debris inside the module.
- Flash or torch not working, or flash washing out photos.
- Front camera / selfie faults and grainy video calls.
How the repair works
We start with a free diagnosis, because a camera problem isn't always the camera. Sometimes it's a software setting, a damaged connector on the board, or a cracked lens cover that only needs the glass changing — a much cheaper fix than a full module. If the module itself has failed, we replace it and test stills, video, zoom, focus, flash and both cameras before you collect.
Parts are a mix of genuine, reclaimed and high-quality third-party components depending on the model and what the repair needs. We'll tell you which we're using when we quote.
A note on Face ID
A rear camera repair doesn't affect Face ID, and replacing a front camera module does not repair Face ID. Face ID relies on separate paired hardware, so if yours has stopped working that needs its own diagnosis — bring it in and we'll check it rather than guess.
Cracked screen as well? See our iPhone screen repair page, or back glass repair if the damage is on the rear.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an iPhone camera repair take?
Most camera repairs are done the same day when the part is in stock. We'll confirm timing when we quote.
Can you just replace the cracked lens glass?
On many models yes. If the module underneath is undamaged, replacing the cover glass alone is cheaper than a full camera replacement.
Will replacing the front camera fix Face ID?
No. Face ID uses separate paired components and needs its own diagnosis. We'll check it properly rather than promise a fix.
Why is my camera shaking?
Usually the optical stabilisation inside the module has been damaged in a drop. It normally needs the module replaced.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes — standard repairs carry our 12-month warranty, covering the part and workmanship (accidental damage excluded).
